July 4th Weekend...

Visited family and friends in Lockport, NY this past weekend. On Saturday I hooked up with Dave and Ethan for some carping on the Erie Canal. As usual, the carp didn't disappoint. Ethan put on a carp catching clinic pulling in four nice bars of gold from the famous canal...nice going Ethan.

New swim...

I met my friend Ray this past Sunday to try our luck for carp at a new swim. We enjoyed a nice day and landed 8 carp total. Ray landed 5 nice fish and I managed 3. Looks like the new swim is going to be a good one.

We were lucky enough to spot a Bald Eagle flying above us while we were fishing (unfortunately I didn't get a picture). This is the third Bald Eagle I have spotted while fishing during the past year. Nice to see them coming back. Here are a few pics from the day...

First carp of 2010 season...

It wasn't big...but nice to catch the first one of the season. It was a beautiful March day with temps in the low 70's. Nice weather, great company and carp...doesn't get much better.
The carp was caught on New World Carp Cranberry Monster Maize.

It's been a while...

Wow...it has been a long time since I posted any updates. I cant wait for the snow to melt so I can get out carpin' again.
